Parties and potties

We had a lovely fourth of July weekend as Evan and Hayley's cousins Ida Jane and Harper were in from out of town. As there are four of them born within less than two and a half years it was quite entertaining (and exhausting!) It is wonderful for them to have someone to play with and Evan and Ida Jane ran around together a lot, Harper did a great job trying to keep up, and Hayley just sat back and enjoyed the show! Nana got them all matching outfits which was incredibly cute as well. If you're ever wondering who is who, Ida Jane is the oldest girl (bright red hair), Harper's almost as tall but a year younger, and Hayley's the baby with the incredibly big cheeks! (And Evan is, of course, the boy!)
We saw the Gerbers and the Zolls as well which was a lot of fun and Hayley got to hang out with her namesakes Granddad and Madi (who both share her middle name).
Almost just as exciting is that Evan is now in "big boy underwear" as he declared on Monday "I don't need diapers! I don't need pants!" (Okay.... so we're negotiating the second item.) I'm not sure if that is how potty training happens or if it's just a temporary phase, but he's been diaper free (except for nights) for the last few days. Hopefully this is for good!
