Heat wave!

I apologize for the long period between posts, the first trimester of my pregnancy (and the start of the second, which is typical for me) left me pretty weary every night. We also transitioned Hayley out of her crib (or, more honestly, she transitioned herself!) My wonderful sleeper decided last month that she was, at one and a half, too big to be in a crib. She's now sleeping in Evan's room and Evan and Hayley both really like that arrangement. However, since she's no longer gated in we find her in our bed about every other night. Thankfully, Evan gave up that habit a few months ago, so atleast it's usually just the 3 of us!

Hayley is starting to talk surprisingly well for her age. She can say many words (although only decipherable by those who know her very well) and can even say a few phrases ("help me" is one of her most used as it can be applied to trying to get something out of reach or to escape from a nap!) She also has learned how to slide down slides, which was a great development as we're always at a local playground.

Evan is gearing up for pre-school next month (see the shoe shopping picture taken with nana) and is at a great age where he is "helping" me and plays really well with his sister. I can only hope the third one shares in the great sibling experience we've had so far.

My big ultrasound is on the 25th of this month, so wish us luck that everything looks great with the baby. If we are able to determine the gender I will post. Mike and I are currently both thinking we are having a boy but we will certainly be happy either way!
