Universal Orlando

I had a conference down in Orlando for a day and Mike gets a nice Universal discount due to his job, so we decided to head down to sunny Florida for a few days and soak up the sun. It was a perfect way to get through February as the kids counted the days to our vacation. 

Universal has a new Harry Potter world which was fabulous. Hayley chose a Luna wand and Evan was fitted with Harry's and the kids loved wandering around and casting spells to turn on water fountains, find fairies, and light fireworks. 

Logan loved the minion mayhem ride and meeting characters. As he was also over the required height for many rides he happily came along. 

The hotel and weather was perfect. It was low 80s and sun and there was a long waterslide, a lazy river, and two zero entry pools. It was hard to drag the kids out and we swam up until checkout!

Below is a snap from the new ride Escape from Gringotts, which was the longest line. However, the staff directed us towards the fast pass lane so we skipped the 40 minute wait. The kids must have used some sort of enchantment....
