Evan had a great time celebrating with the large family gathering of over 40 people! He is now walking around really well and sometimes refuses to hold onto our hands (an independent streak is perhaps emerging?) He also walked all the way around our first floor by himself today (from the dinning room to the kitchen through the hallway and back to the dinning room.) Dada called that walk quite a milestone! We reached another milestone last week as Evan all of a sudden decided he really really likes taking a bath. All of a sudden it went from protesting (which had us only bathing him every second or third day or so just to avoid the battle) to him trying to jump in the tub before we've had a chance to get it filled.
Evan loves playing hide and seek and also loves covering animals in books with an object to play mini hide and seek with them. I've attached a short video with a clip of him doing this.

Here are some pictures of our tree. We just put it up as we wanted to wait until after Evan's first birthday to start the Christmas celebrations. Evan actually seemed to really like the tree, especially the lights and the beads. After we put it up, he hung around it for quite a bit and played with the presents underneath. He must know santa is watching! (And probably remembers how he unwrapped his birthday presents just a week or so ago!!!)
Dada peeled some oranges after we got the tree decorated. Delicious!
